Walk me through a Penfed app please

Ok just looking for clarification on what exactly happens during a Penfed app. I know I have to go online...make some kind of one time donation I assume with a debit or credit card? ....then am I immediately allowed to proceed with the Penfed app? How is the savings share funded by giving them routing/acct number of one of my other accounts? Do I have to wait for the funds to clear into the Share account before I can start applying for products? Can I immediately apply for products online or should I call in for my first app? If I want a PLOC as well with the same HP do I just do that online or do I have to call in?

Just want to size up this process so SS so it goes as smooth as possible. Thanks

Re: Walk me through a Penfed app please

Well, one thing with PenFed to start with. You do not have to be a member to apply for credit product. But, if approved for a credit product, you will have to become a member. That being said, if you are not a member of a group gives you automatic qualification for PenFed, such as military etc., you may join one of the organizations that they list on their website. They will do a HP for your membership application, or credit product if your apply before membership. But, that inquiry will be good for a minimum of 30 days for you to apply for either membership or credit. It's a fairly easy process. And, if you have questions you can call them and ask, they're very friendly and very easy to work with.
