Want to apply for a 2nd Venture, but, ......

Ok. Update on my credit life so far....

I have 4 CCs with CLs...

Lowe's - 30K
Venture - 28K (recently combined a Plat 7K into this)
Discover IT - 18K
QS - 10K

Presently, Cap 1 could not match any offers at this time. So no pre-quals right now. The account combo hasn't reported yet to any bureaus. Would it be better to wait for a pre-qual that might never be or just cold app for a 2nd Venture whenever I feel I need it?

I'm more concerned as to why two and for what perk?

That would make (3) Cap1's (1) Sync and Discover

You could do a better job of diversification IMHO

No Citi, Chase, Amex or CU's why?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Citi, Chase, and Amex all burned in BK-7 that were all IIB. I'm about to finance a home renovation and can put the first $3K on a new Venture so I can get 40K miles.

Bonus chasing on money you have to spend anyway ....Makes sense to me

As far as wait or go your choice but if you need it now don't wait on the pre-Q to pop up cause it may never

Second Venture is usually bigger so you are going to have to deal with a near 50k Venture after you combine (to big for me to do anything with, Maybe a 2% finance on a large item). I'm building HH lately so I'm laying off a third V for now. GL whatever you decide.
