Well, I tried

I tried to get a cli on my $300 qs1 that hasn't even reported yet, I got the statement yesterday haha.  They emailed me earlier saying I'll get a $200 increase after 6 statements...Smiley Sad  I'm going to email ceo and let the eo handle it.  Hopefully, they'll give me something decent.  When I got the card a couple of weeks ago, the $39 af was already showing so I emailed ceo and the eo called me and said they would waive it.  So, I should probably hold off on emailing them again considering they just waived my af after I reconned for this card a month ago also lol.

Re: Well, I tried

Wait so you just got your first statement? You need to let three statements cut at minimum before trying for a CLI on your QS1. Some members have had sucess getting a CLI after 3 statements and then also getting the credit steps increase as well. You need to build some history with them first. Use the card and then pay it down several times a month if need be and you're probably have some sucess after a few months time.

Yea, I figured, I just did it for the hell of it. Was just sad to see they only plan on giving me a $200 increase after 6 months. I used their secured a lot in july and august and pif and now the qs1 I already maxed in a week and pif.

Re: Well, I tried

just utilize the card right and after 3 months you never know what you may get....... i was approved for 500.00 and supposed to get 250.00 by 6th month... im on my 7th month right now and instead of a 750.00 CL QS i have a 2000.00 QS. Got 1000.00 increase by 3rd month (luv link) and by the 6th month got 500.00 more (auto).

so be patient and you never know what you may get... if you play it right most likely in my opinion you will get more than what they offered.

best of luck....

Re: Well, I tried

There have been many that have gotten a bump in CL by requesting it at the three month mark and sometimes a nice one. There have also been quite a few people who have gotten an increase through credit steps that far exceeds what Cap1 said they were going to get. So just be patient and you'll get there. Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to credit. Sometimes it is a waiting game at times but you'll get to where you want to be. What do your scores look like currently?

Re: Well, I tried

I began with an SL on my QS1 of $300 on 8/6, and 13 days after approval, I received the a CLI via a facebook chat with Capital One that increased my CL to $500. And to surprise, I received an auto CLI several days after my first statement generated last week, which increased my CL to $800. I know my situation isn't common but, i've put a great deal through the card in the amount of time I've had it.

Wow that's fast.  Nice, hopefully I have a similar experience.

Re: Well, I tried

You could do better then a Quicksilver One with your scores depending on how long your credit history is. Are those FICOs?

Re: Well, I tried

It was extremely fast. My scores all increased +40 within days after the approval, so perhaps that played a factor as well. As of now, I'm content with the CL until I complete the credit steps program.
