Is there such a thing as the Wells Fargo CLI love button/link? I see mentions of it in articles, but never see the "tab" mentioned. Has anyone seen this tab before or is it always a call?
Wells Fargo doesn't offer online CLI's
Yes, you will need to call. Make certain to ask (if you care) through the process about HP versus SP as they can tell you..."we can proceed with a SP and we can offer you X..or we cannot and must do a HP to proceed"
@RickNATL, as mentioned above. There is no CLI [link/chat/button] option available online. You'd have to call.
WF discontinued the online CLI request option several months ago.
I have never seen one. I think you have to call. Whenever we call, they claim there's no such thing as a SP CLI and they've never done that, but it's a lie not true (they especially like to tell my wife that and treat her like an idiot when she calls and asks).

I would be hard pressed to think the agents are deliberately "lying". It likely points to agents who are either not familiar with the process or not well trained on such [SP CLI] requests. It can also be a combination of how this information is being relayed to the agent.
Not every agent is familiar with "soft pull" requests like it's commonly known here. Another item to keep in mind is that if not every account qualifies for a SP CLI so if it isn't available for the agent to process, it's going to be treated like any standard CLI request.
Whenever I've initiated any CLI requests, I simply ask if there are any offers available without incurring a hard inquiry, and in most cases there are. I've only had a couple HPs when the SP option wasn't available and they typically let you know in advance (or transfer you to the lending department) if you wish to pursue it.
Maybe lying wasn't the best choice of wording, but if they are simply ignorant, they are incredibly poorly trained. If I had been that poorly informed as a teller, I would have been fired for incompetence. It also seems that when I call in, I (male) don't get treated like an idiot for asking, but my wife gets treated like that, so I don't give them a lot of benefit of the doubt.
My wife started asking me to listen in on the calls after the second CSR. They always seem to know SP vs HP, but act like she's crazy for asking.
