No to either one Smiley Sad

I'm going to read more on PNC though because it looks like you can apply online and they don't required you to be a banking customer?

Thanks so much!

Just call them first and ask if you have to live in their banking area even though you can apply online. Some regional banks only approve in their "footprint."

Just don't want you to waste an inquiry.

Hi Water88,

Really? Interesting about Nordstrom. My EX has one CO medical collection that I'm going to be paying soon and also, a very old Collection from 2010 that's due to come off in July. Was hesitant to apply with anyone who pulls EX until those items were off. Unfortunately, I'm not a member of any CU's and am not a former service member nor is my husband or any other family member. I see some great results people have from many CU's but I have no way of becoming a member. Thanks for your reply!

Look at PenFed. Anyway can join with a small donation to Voices for America's Troops or National Military Family Association and it's presented as an option when joining and signing up online. With a clean EQ at 714 you'd probably have a decent NextGen score with them. Be surprised if you didn't get 5 to 10k on a card or two or a card and LOC.

EQ is 714, TU 677, EXP 655

Current cards are two secured cards, only one with a 3-year history. A couple Comenity store cards and VISA's. My highest VISA/MC limit is currently $2000, store high limit is $4500. UTL 15%, AAoA is 2.5 years.

Was thinking about Cabela's Visa or Cap One Quiksilver? Also interested in Nordstrom Visa or store card but not sure if scores would qualify me.

Thanks!

I think Capital One Quicksilver would be the way to go.

And then you should garden for a while.

Thanks @ TA8088!   I just joined PenFed, awesome advice, I had no idea! Where do I find my NextGen score and do I just go ahead and apply for a card or how does that work exactly? Do they pull EQ for every application or ?

For the next 90 days Penfed will use the same hard pull they used for you to join. So you're good to go.

Re: What card should I apply for? 714 EQ Clean Report

OMG!!!! THANK YOU GUYS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

Joined PenFed, approved online for membership after answering some questions.

APP'd for three cards and approved for two of them (approved for PenFed Amex Travel Rewards and PenFed Promise) and also a Personal Line of Credit for $5,000! I asked for $15,000 and they counteroffered. I'm shocked!!!!!! Only other card on report is a $2,000 Visa.

Any suggestions on how to manage my relationship with them? What do they like to see and how long to ask for a CLI? What about these cards? I was concerned about the Amex because 7 years ago I had Amex products and they were charged off. Shocked!

YOU PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! MY SINCERE GRATITUDE TO YOU ALL!!!

Also got approved for Cabela's today but not sure what my limit is yet!
