You should be eligible for another CapOne card...
I have the Platinum and the QS1, and also have VS, Overstock, Buckle and Fingerhut... But I would definitely go for the CapOne first, then wait and see if you are accepted for Discovers counter offer in a month or two.
Once you have several revolving credit lines it's all about making sure you make those payments on time and make small purchases so you can increase the credit lines over time.
Good luck to you on your journey!!
Just a quick mention RE: Capital One - You can only have 2 of their lower tier cards (from everything I've read - you may want to call them and ask) so you may not actually qualify for the Quicksilver 1, since you seem to already have their secured and platinum offerings, regardless of your score. ![]()
So what should I attempt for? I don't want to attempt for Discover just yet.
I really just want to up my score and I know it will take time.
I don't want to apply for the cap one quicksliverone just in case i dont qualify and it does a hard inquiry.

I'm not really sure - have you checked the Credit Pulls Database? (If you haven't, literally google credit pulls database, it'll pop up). That may give you a better idea of what you may want to consider as a card, by putting in your scores and comparing it to other peoples approval/denial experiences. Unfortunately any application for a card is a risk that they'll say no.
I would try another cap one card and let that age........ Just be patient, you'll have good credit in no time....
FYI We all are or have been where you are, so don't feel bad hun! rebuilding takes time..... Good luck!
@Anonymous wrote:Okay, so I currently have two credit cards, one is a secured credit card with capital one with a limit of $200. Then I also have a capital one platinum with a $300 limit. I was told that i should apply for one or two more but I don't wnat to apply and get a hard inquiry on my reports because I currently have about 18 from when i was applying for student loans. Some will fall of through out the remainder of the year leaving me with about 9-10 and I applied for Discover students about a month or two and got declined but they sent me another offer along with these other companies called credit one. I just want to know the best advice. I maxed out one card a few weeks ago because I blew three tires and my bank account had been compromised because someone in New Jersey got a hold of my info and took out a few hundred dollars at some wal-mart. So I know i may get hit for HIGH utilization for that card, but a week after I was able to get access to my bank and pay it off immediately. I never am late on my payments except for once back in august of last year I was a week late on my car payment. I had one collection on my account because my mom put the cable in my name and didnt pay last bill or return the cable boxes, I paid that off last year in December after I was finally told that it went into collections. I have a car loan through snatander and I have been paying on that its payoff as of right now is at $15,000. I pay my phone bill on time, I pay my student loan repayment from Fed loans on time, and I actually have it all on automated drafting so that it is guaranteed to be paid on time.
My scores are below
Equifax 620
Trans 631
Experian 629
I am in college and I have been building my credit since Feb 2015.
If you need more info or have questions please let me know I just want to know the best thing to do.
Just stay on track. Give it some time from all the things highlighted. it is life. so it happens to the best of us. That late payment is less than a year old. so it is hurting you bad. Also that collection. I think if you have had that platinum with cap one about 4 months or so you can go to their pre appoval page and see what else pops up. maybe a venture or Quicksilver. this will put you in prime area. Scores not so bad considering all that happened. good luck.
