With zero baddies, why are your scores so low? And what's causing the large spread between your TU and EX scores and your EQ score?

Re: What is a good card I should qualify for?

Based off the feedback in this thread I believe it's a combination of high utilization (easy fix) I paid down to 9% today - $200 balance on $2100 credit limit, high inquiries (these were before I started my path to good credit) and AAOA. My oldest account is only 2 years old (a car loan I paid off early). Then I probably screwed myself by opening the cards via SCT luckily I'm in the garden now at the advice of you guys, in a year my inquiries will be off and I'll have 7 positive trade lines all reporting for a year.

Boy, my advice would not to open another card, particularly a secured card. Instead use your two Capital One cards hard, pay often, and PIF. Hit the luv button as often as you can then PC, prequalify and combine. If you follow that path you will end up with one or two cards with decent CL's that will open the door to prime cards.
