My credit score is as shown in my signature, but I do have some late payments on file. Is there a typical time frame I should wait before applying for a Discover IT or AMEX Everyday Blue? I checked my prequal listings on Amex's site, and they have me prequal'd for a Gold, Everyday, and Green card.
I shouild add that I currently have a capital one platinum and capital one quicksilver, both of which are paid off.
Amex pre-equal are solid. Your scores are in the range people get approved for. So apply for the one you want. If you do apply, report back with results. How old are your late payments if you don't mind me asking?

if you are getting pre-qual on Amex I would try it out... you can typically get a charge card and credit card back to back and with 1 pull. (go for gold)
discover is anyone's guess I feel, they typically are pretty easy to get for those with thinner files.
Thanks to both for the quick responses! I have a late payment reported 2 months ago(then promptly set up auto-pay to keep myself from being an ass). Outside of that, nothing over the past 2 years.

Ok.. You have a strong chance of approval.. Go for it if you want it.

Hi guys, I was unfortunately declined and was told I would receive a notice in the mail within 10 days. . . Trying to look at the bright side, at least now I know not to apply for any cards at the moment and focus on gardening. Any added advice is welcomed.
