So here's the deal.
My first credit line started 6 months ago with a security credit card from WellsFargo for $500.
Next, I got the Chase Freedom around 3 months ago, with credit limit $600.
The Freedom Auto CLI'd to $1200 as the 3rd statement cut.
So I've been thinking, what to do from here? How many months should I ideally wait for make the next app, and if so, what card so I be looking for? I like the Sapphire preferred from Chase, but its probably too early to try for that, what do you guys think? What should I be targetting next?

Give it a year -- Credit's way too fresh to get anything but mickey mouse limits even IF you get approved for prime cards as it is.

True, I wasn't even expecting to get the Chase Freedom at this point. Probably my active checking + savings accounts with them helped.

You have 9 months under your belt, I would wait another 3
Technically no.
AAoA would be 4.5 months without any other TL's reporting.

I would app in March. and if u have good amounts saved in their checking and savings, go to a branch and apply and tell them to send one special consideration form. chase will work well with u if u have savings with them.

I'm a new graduate from school, so huge savings won't be potentially possible, but a combined $15K between savings and checking in the chase account is what I predict, going by my current strategy.. by around March like you said. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely have them consider that at that point.

Nice savings. Heck that's more than I have until next pay day
Take it easy, slow down a bit, and carefully plan how you're gonna get cards in the future and really focus on letting those tradelines age and getting good CLIs on them. Also remember that higher limits beget higher limits and I'd take everyone's advice on the CSP. Go for it in March and if you get some kind of prequalified offer for the card sooner, definitely do it then.
