Which card should I apply for? Or should I just sit and wait?

ive been rebuilding and currently my score between 620-650. I currently have 6 credit card and 3 store card within this year.

Current cards

chase freedom 2500 got November charged 2200 just paid no statement yet

Capital one QS1 3000 got end of October SL was 500 paid twice 2800

Capital one platinum 2000 got end of October SL was 500 paid 500

barclay cash forward 1000 got November balance at statement 87 now it's maxed just made payment

credit one 1500 got November don't use

capital one secured 500 got March SL 200 don't use balance -55

store card

fingerhut - don't use

kays - don't use

victoria secret - don't use

Question is with my current score what card can I get? Should I still apply or sit and garden? Card I really want is a discover, Amex blue cash and citi double cash back. What's the chance of getting cards I want. My income is 15000/month. I don't want to blind app and get denied. I got lots of inquiries on my file, total 42 across.

sit & Garden. All cards are new?

Think of it this way, what is it that you dont have? why you need more cards? what purpose will it serve?

Why take on more debt when you dont need it?

if after six months of on time payments and maybe PIF on existing cards, what would you like to apply for?

Patience is KEY

In meantime, if there are negatives that need handling, if any, work on that.

Yea all cards less then a year. Newest card is about a month. Baddies I have, don't know what can be done. I have a charge off from Wells Fargo from 2009 for 1200. I have 3 from Comcast one is 59, 129, 229. The 129 and 59 is off my record now. Just waiting on the 229 one to be gone too.

If I were you I would

1. not apply for any more cards at this time

2. cancel the credit one card

3. call cap one, or visit chat, and try to upgrade the secured card

Check on the timing of when that Wells Fargo CO will drop. Is it 7 years?

When was the Comcast $229 charge off?

+100 to the Wait For A Long While recommendations. Adding that many cards takes a while to let your score recover a bit. At your income level, if you really look closely at how much earnings you get on spend, the Double Cash isn't a significant difference in your monthly budget. Discover might be, but then you may not be able to get it with all the INQ, New cards, and scores where they are.

Yea, I'm not applying for anymore card. Right now I got about 42 inquiries across on my credit report. I'm going to sit on what I have for 6-18 months and just let them build. I can most likely get increase on my capital one again after credit step, will also get increase on Barclay after 3 months of use and on time payment. All I want is for one card to have a 20000 limit and I will be happy. That's all I need so I don't need to carry so many cards with me.

Dont forget to combine these in April. If your qs1 has an AF try getting that removed first.

barclay cash forward 1000 got November balance at statement 87 now it's maxed just made payment

credit one 1500 got November don't use

Af or monthly fee?  If AF cancel 1 month before AF hits. If monthly fee I would close it.

capital one secured 500 got March SL 200 don't use balance -55

See if you can get this card graduated. If so then you can combine the limit once it grows.

Your income is 180k.  Wondering how much of that is disposable?  Then if you ran all that through your capital one quicksilver you should be doing great.

42 inquiries is a lot. I take it 9-12 of them are from capital one.

Your baddies should be able to be addressed asap.  I dont know much about them, but in my personal experience, and with helping friends family, you should be able to pay off that charge off and with a few calls/letters get it removed from your reports.  Same thing with comcast.

Dont open any more retail cards whatever you do.  Your scores should be sitting pretty after some repair, and after 12 months the inquiries wont hurt you. Patience pays off. You are on the right path.

I live in Texas, and I don't consider that poor...LOL.  Inquiries and collections are hurting you.  Gardening will take care of the INQs and once you  take care of the collections, then you will be fine.  There is a Venture with your name of it in a year and with your income, you have the potential of getting possibly $20k.

Big difference. A house in San Jose decent area is 800k for a 1450 SF. In the more scary area not as safe you are still looking at 500k
