About to buy a new to me car and at least one kicthen appliance. Would love to use some of this spend to make a SUB.
Unfotunately, my timeframe is a little compressed. Which issuers will give you the option of recieving your cc number immediatly for use? I rememebr AMEX offered it for my last car, but is that system-wide or case by case? Was hoping to try to get the Citi AA Platinum, but the car shopping timeframe moved up of its own accord. I know AMEX will happily open another accont for me, but I can't think of a card I actually have a use for, maybe the Green for the points and transit credit -- assuming I get offered the current SUB. Don't remember the last time I flew Delta, and the other hotel cards I'm lukewarm on. Would love a 0% offer so I could have some flexibility in the payback, but I planned this with cash in-hand to take a chunk out of the car note immediatly. I hate large car payments.
Thoughts?

NFCU gives you your CC account number upon approval.
I seem to remember WF did too, as well as Amex. I can't say for sure with WF, though, because it was never a huge issue for me to get the card number that quickly. Amex was a definite yes on this question.
I know AMEX will for sure give you a temp card number on approval.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know about WF, and can't say I paid attenion when I got my Active Cash.
After doing some reading, I may go with a Greencard. Decent SUB, and it can meet some of my actual needs. That AF tho :-/
Keep the info coming tho.

I applied for the Amex BCE (Blue Cash Everyday) card last month and had the card number to use within minutes after applying. Approved with a soft pull. Once I accepted the card they revealed my credit limit (6k) and gave me the option to get the card number right away or wait for it in the mail.

Barclays lets use add to apple pay right after approval if the dealer accepts tap to pay!
Citi gave me a temporary virtual card when I was approved for my Custom Cash, though the CL for the temp card was substantially lower than my full CL.
Chase does as well. immediately added to online profile and can be used via apple pay until physical card arrives
@biff-henderson Wells Fargo did not. I applied for DM as recently as last week for Reflect and had to until the card arrived to even set up an online account, which is certainly a pain nowadays with issueers giving out virtual numbers right away for use. Their saving grace was at least after approval, and a balance transfer option was offered; however, the processing time is about two weeks with us being 7 days in and no completion yet.
