I have access to the full amount. I transfer directly to NASA savings (using iPhone app) and then transfer that to USAA. Both transfers are fee free for me and full transfer amount is available immediately.

 There is also an option of having a check withdrawal from the account and that will be mailed to the address listed with the credit union, most likely your home address.

Did you app yet?

CAPTOOL, I was waiting for your approval to proceed with that big blue button graphic you put on other threads =)  Haha

Not yet, I'm waiting another for 1 month because...

  1. I'm racking up $2000+ (~70% util) on my QS1, then PIF a couple days before the statement cuts.
  2. Ask for a PC to QS + a nice CLI (rep says I qualify but had to wait until 6mo is done, hopefully the 70% then PIF will help even more) + maybe an APR reduction.  Probably good timing for my first contact with the EO.
  3. Another round of Comenity Luv button.

Gives my thin file 1 more month to boost the short AAoA.

Also I'm curious on what "game changer" card that Cap1 is supposedly coming out with soon.

If the Chase Ink is a "must have," why would you not app that first? If you are looking at Chase I would suggest to app those first before the others. Seems like your cc want list has grown since your first post. lol

Yeah I'm definitely bumping up Chase to 1st.  As long as my personal banker friend says he can get me past the 5 card in 2 year rule.  3 CCs and 2 store cards are less than 2 years old.  In 6 months from now I can easily rack up the max rewards on the Ink 5% categories.  *crossing fingers*

I think everyone who joins myFICO forum has their want list grow Smiley Very Happy.  We see stories of fellow members like 12njoy that have had phenominal growth in 2 years *thumbs up*

When I joined Nasa a few months ago I applied for a credit card 1st and after I was approved I was automatically given a membership.

Can you have NASA create a cashier's check to mail to you for the line amount if you wanted or to where ever you want them to mail it or have them do a bank wire transfer directly from the line? If not, the latter would work with how you outlined it.

PLOC -==> NASA savings/checking account  ==> USAA (a person's main bank account) ==> bank wire/cashier's check.

Thanks

And did you get HP or SP with this method?

To be honest, I don't know. You can go on NASA's website and ask via chat.
