everytime i have applied with US Bank, mine have always been denied initially for the same reason, however they have all been overturned on recon. They are generally nice when you talk to them (generally), my last one about 9 months ago was denied for flex perks sig visa, called on recon and was approved for 11500. they got back to me within 5 hours or so, which is fast for them, but they are reasonable. i found that i had faster results when i opened a free checking account with them and plug 25 bucks in every pay check, not a stellar balance still, but it sits there and i can always make payments to their card through it if i want. i think that helps a lot to have a relationship with them, though be it small. YMMV.
