Why won't Discover budge?

Hello, all!

March of 2015, my CL went from 500 to 1000, June of 2015, it went from 1000 to 4000, and September of 2015 it went from 4000 to 4500.  Then it happened:  after many soft pull denials, my CLI request got denied on 1/9/16 with a hard pull..  I just want a CLI of 500 so that my CL is 5K like most of my other cards(stupid, I know!)..  I don't have the exact denial reason, but was most likely denied because I have too much new credit and - although the majority of my cards have zero balances - I recently got an installment loan for vinyl siding and am using like 99% of the 15K i was approved for.  Anyone have any luck recently with Discover?  They were so generous with me last year!  Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Discover has it's own way of doing things and who knows how and why 

The flood gates open all at once and close the same way 

Just give them some time and try again in the mean time grow some of your others cards you do have nice limits so don't focus so much on $500
