Would this be a second HP? (Elan but general question)

My main question is not Elan specific? Applied for an Elan card yesterday, and it went to review. Approved today.

I just realized that I would like to do another application. Did I miss my chance to get two cards for one HP, since it's a different calendar day? It is a little over 24 hours since my first application and the HP.

If it HPs me again, does it affect my score less than 2 HPs, since they are the same requester 1 day apart?

But I am also curious, for Elan, if I froze the bureau that they pulled, would they autopull a different one, or would it go to review and they would realize they had already HP me yesterday?

I do AZEO.

Strange things sometimes happen but if you apply again expect another hard pull.   If you try to play the game of freezing a report to force them to pull from a different CRA the result is a YMMV but that's in the context of them either pulling on their own initiative a different report, calling you to tell you to unfreeze the report that they want to pull for them to process the application, or a straight-up denial but again while strange things sometimes happen one shouldn't do that with the expectation of being able to avoid a 2nd hard pull (only possibly having a hard pull from a different CRA for the 2nd application).

The impact of having a 2nd hard pull on the same CRA is profile specific as there are a number of factors in play.  My own experience has been that having the new accounts report impacts scores more than the inquiries.

I don't think I've ever read anything about Elan using the same pull for multiple cards, afaik it would have been a second pull.

there's no bundling of recent credit card HP's, score wise they all count individually (profile dependent)

(unlike car loan HPs which for score purposes bundle together if done in a short enough time period)

It's not like every HP is a certain number of points

it could be

Inquries: Points lost

1: -10

2 -0

3 -5

4 -0

5 -5

6: -5

10+: 0

Almost always there would be a second hard pull.

Some lenders would automatically deny a second application so close in time to the other; I have no idea how Elan treats that scenario.
