amex CLI question

Got the Delta SkyMiles card last week......did not app for CLI @ activation but did so a couple of days later..........got we'll let you know in 2-3 days message....does this sound like a denial?

If you just got approved for the card and asked for a increase already then my guess is yes it's a denial on the increase. Reason it will probably say is account is too new.

Maybe, maybe not. I just spoke to AMEX new accounts and he said the 60 day rule is no longer in effect. I told the rep that it still says that on the website and he assured me that as soon as members have their card in hand, they can call and request a CLI.

There is no longer a 60 day rule.  You can apply for the 3X CLI as soon as activation.  Everything of course is dependent on your credit file.

You sure it said 2-3 days, and not 7-10 days?
