Okay, I need any inputs from anyone on this site. as I am nearing 9 years old BK.
here my scores from varies of sources. 735 from this site, 708 Next Gen 2 from PenFed, 744 from Discover and lastly 751 from Citi.
bottom line, should I give it a shot ? or wait until BK falls off completely ? thoughts ?
Definitely wait on bk to fall off. Simmons has some of the strictest UW criteria out there. VERY few members here have a Simmons card. So you want to be in tip top shape when you app. Very few inqs/new accounts, very low util, absolutely no baddies and mid to high 700's at least.
Simmons and Penfed were my Holy Grails when I was rebuilding. I got Penfed. But, not ready for Simmons yet. 😩

NOPE
Simmons may use Sagestream or Innovis and still "find" your BK...
I wouldnt bother with Simmons... You can get a ultra low apr from many CUs with a lot less drama

From what I've seen, I would let the BK fall off.
You would more than likely see a rise in score as well.
Simmons is pretty tough!
I have a Simmons App posted to the wall in my office as a goal. (Can't garden more than 10 mins though so it taint gonna happen)![]()

😂😂
I read a lot about this bank last year and from various sources i gathered this; Simmon's lies to pull TU, they meet once a week as a board and manually go through applications and then send them off to underwriting, scores belown 780 might get in, but 780+ with little to zero inquiries, nothing negative on your credit report and low utilization will get you an approval. Any approvals over $10,000 require poi.
id definitely wait till you had a spotless cr. I had a similiar fascination to PenFed and was able to get in nicely with them. but, simmons id only do after a 24 month detox.
Simmons, and Iberia.....drop trausers, grab ankles, prepare for microscope......

We can always count on your comic relief around here!!
Every time I enter my information at Cardmatch.com I am pre-approved for the Simmons cards. To be honest, I am not impressed with their cards. I would use a Solid Waste Authorities Visa with a great APR before I would even try to obtain one of these. The banks who are hardest to get loans from only care about themselves. You have hundreds of other sources out there to meet your needs.

It's called marketing. Everyone is matched with Simmons, First Premier, and probably Chase/Cap1....
