buypower application.....

app was instantly denied for a nearly 7yr old bk13 which falls off in april.

before i apped for the bpc, i did the cap1 prequal and was ok'd for another venture and qs visa sig.  which i already have, with 0 bal.   i contacted the eo right after the denial.

got the eo call this evening but they couldnt find the application or any record that i applied.  they suggested i give them 24 to 48 hours to locate the application.

does this matter that it was a buypower card vs. a regular cap1 venture or quicksilver card?  i assume its all capital one, or is this buypower team an entirely different branch of the company where the eo has no recon abilities?

fico scores - August 2024:
TU - 733| EX - 737 | EQ - 730 |
TCL - 174K - UTIL - less than 1%

Re: buypower application.....

Same with my wife. Older BK, denied instantly only reason BK and she has high scores too. I just don't think buypower is BK friendly at all. Even if you have a prior Cap One relationship.

The GM BuyPower CC is a partner card and is not handled in the same EO or department for their legacy cards (i.e. QS, Venture, etc).  The odds don't look favorable though since this card is a different portfolio altogehter.  Or, you could get lucky and get approved for $300 SL (like in some reported approvals).
