Just kidding...   Smiley Very Happy

I agree that for some people (like myself) they have, indeed, been quite generous.

Other folks seem to have a more difficult time getting them to loosen the purse strings... I guess it's YMMV.

Re: capital one LUV button....help!

depends on your card. mastercards grow slower than the visas overall.

@Anonymous How long should we wait before applying for a CLI once you get a new card with Cap1?  30 days? 90 days? Just curious...

Re: capital one LUV button....help!

most report best results after 3 statements but i think i got one CLI at 2 statements on one card and the other was a no lol. safely, i'd say 3.

Re: capital one LUV button....help!

I waited until after the third statement for my QS Visa as well.

I'll also add that if you try too soon it doesn't reset a clock, so you can always try again in a few weeks (or after another statement).  Smiley Wink

Re: capital one LUV button....help!

So I never post on here but now is a good time to do so. I started with a CapOne QuickSilverOne card.. initial CL of $300. Enrolled in the steps program. Hit the luv button at exactly 3 months. Only got a $100 CLI even though I was using the card and paying it off twice per month heavily.

I am going to assume that the steps CLI will still be in affect at 6 months as well so we shall see if this luv button was a good move. Crossing fingers.

The CLI you requested will not effect the credit steps CLI after your sixth statement.

Thanks for the heads up. I regret accepting the CLI as now I've been reading I probably could have gotten a bit more had I waited a few more weeks. I guess I'll try the LUV button again next statement and see if I get lucky.  I'll post then and at the 6 month mark to see where I stand.

I have a lot of starter cards and trying to get a solid limit card so I can close those out and roll with better cards going forward.
