I was recently denied the chase sapphire card due to my recent bk. My chapter 7 bk discharged july of last year. Should I try to recon? They listed my credit score at 683. I'm currently in the garden and don't plan on coming back out for a while. If I did try to recon would it result in another hardpull?

Unfortunately, Chase will not approve applications for any of their cards if there is a BK reporting.
Attempts at reconsideration will be futile. Sorry
^^^ this. Until the BK is off your reports, Chase won't consider approval.
To add a couple data points, there are other lenders with BK policies as well. Amex will not approve a card until 61 months past your filing date, and IIRC, Citi requires seven years from discharge for core cards (Citi retail may be more lenient but I don't know for sure).
Best bets for the time being are Capital One, maybe OpenSky if you need another one, and Ollo seems decent if you're invited. A year past BK, you may see some other lenders start to open up the door a bit such as Navy's nRewards, and possibly Discover. If offered, always try prequals when BK is recent. They're no guarantee but they'll give you a better idea where you stand.

Don't waste your time nor energy. They will not give you one with a BK on your credit report
Chase blacklists for 10 years for BK., Longer if they were included. They blacklist for 1 year on auto loans.
Thanks everyone for the info. Unfortunately I did burn them with a chase amazon card for about 1.2k. Maybe one day I will get back in. I did also burn navy federal but they told me if paid back what was owed they would let me back in with them. They said I could pay them on a voluntary basis but they won't ask for payment.
Navy will most definitely give you more credit once they're paid in full and the system updates to reflect that.

I know this is a Chase thread, but since you mentioned Citi retail:
My sister, who is battling back from a BK7, was approved for the Meijer Mastercard with $1,000 SL with a 656 EX FICO and about three dozen INQ (I've already tried to explain...brick wall).
The following week, she was approved for the Citi Home Depot store card...also $1,000 SL.
Soooo...it looks as though Citi, while stringent on the BK core card front, may well look for a baseline FICO score with its retail cards. As always, YMMV.

I remember reading this throughout my rebuild. I waited 10 years plus two months just to be sure.
