Considering applying for bunch of cards recently.

Fico score is around 710 but with longest line of 6 months.

still a student and have a student thank you preferred card from citi.

1250 credit limit.

Should I try citi this time or keep gardening?

Re: citi application

To get better answers, what exactly are your FICo scores thus TU, EX and EQ?  What bureau did Citi pull for your first card? Because that will be the same bureau for your next card.

Also, what Citi card are you thinking of applying for?  What are the limits on your current cards?

Well since you already have the TyP. depending on how long you have had it. You should be ok. Im not sure about them pulling the same thing everytime. the only reason i say that. For Best buy, They pulled EQ. For home Depot. They pulled. EQ. But for Double Cash they pulled Experian. 1 pull each no double pulls as many have said has happened to them. So its a Ymmv with them. Even for my Best buy cli they pulled Tu this last time. Only because eq was frozen. But every other cli they pulled. Equifax too. So they seem to vary. even from different regions of the country.

Re: citi application

What bureau did Citi pull for your first card and if so, how many inquiries do you have on there?

Re: citi application

I read a lot of posts. Ppl say that they love user with credit history of more than 1 year. But Since I get a card from them, it should be a different thing???

So I have no idea it works or not?

thanks for your replies.

Re: citi application

they hit my equifax when applied for the card. but when i got the card, I called for credit limit increase. They said they wont hit my credit report but they lied to me!!!!

that was just 4 days later after the first hit. and denied my credit increase.

Now I have 4 hits from equifax and one from charles schwarb.

They they will pull EQ for you next application.  If you have had the current Citi card for 1 year and then give it a go. You have a strong chance of approval.  Report back with results after you apply.

If you really want it and you can afford the hardpull then have at it.  You will never know until you try.  Will keep fingers crossed for you and report back with results.  It seems you really want it so go for it.
