Does it make a difference applying for credit cards (secured or regular) on the weekends vs weekdays, business hours, etc. as far as approvals go?
I doubt that it does, unless, of course, you receive a message to call in outside of the operating business hours for a particular department. Even then, the decision is simply delayed rather than obtaining an instant or quick response. Strangely, the majority of my apps tend to be late on a Sunday evening. It's not that I plan to do them at that time, just that it tends to happen then. As you can probably tell from my signature, I've had quite a bit of success over the years with those apps.

The computer that makes the decision does not care what time or day it is. When it pulls your credit file you either qualify or not.
It really has zero to do with the time of day. It has everything to do with your credit profile, score, length of credit history, utilization, any collections or other baddies, and payment history.
