Re: discover denial

I guess everyone is different. When I applied my scores weren't that good at all. I had 2 charge offs from 2014 (paid) and a collection. Utilization was very low on current account (under 10 percent ), account history 19 years, 1 inquiry. I did in past have Discover when I was younger in early 20s and perfect payment history with them. I don't know..it's so weird to me how some people get approved and some don't. Your score is way better than mine was too. Like you said, maybe you just applied at wrong time and your updated payments weren't reflected and utilization was showing high..?

Re: discover denial

yes, I thought I would atleast get a little love from them lol... but I will just pay off  the balances and then check the pre qual.

I see a 5 pt decrease from apps on equifax. I didnt know chase pulls two credit reports ( ex and eq) what a bummer . I think I no longer want a chase card. good Lord those two denials stung.
