new $25K card report or not on a thin/no history profile?

Bottom line, better to have a new $25K card report or not on a thin/no history profile?

Would like an opinion if it’s better to possibly cold app a chase csp or wait for for an amex everyday @ $25K that was approved on 12/1 to report.  5/24 not an issue, well it might be if my chase au reports but for now she is good.  Re the csp, I know chase sometimes does not like to be the first $5K card so that is running around my head as well..

Background:

Woman that is 52.  Very little credit experience; car loan since 8/15 and a credit one @ $500 since 12/17.  Serious, some people don’t believe in credit.  she is an old friend.

I gave her 3 AUs; cap1, chase and amex, got rid of some med negs, paid her credit one from  106% to 1%, etc.  she went up 150+ across the board in 2 weeks, very cool to watch.

Current EX/TU/EQ is 764/768/760 and INQ are 2/0/1.  100% clean profile, just no credit history

Joined penfed on 12/1.  Internal score was 779.  Did a car refi at 2.49 so that is completed – ally was 16.99%!!  Power cash denied for lack of credit experience.  did a recon, same result. survey done, have not heard back.  while on the phone yesterday completing the refi asked about a promise, just a $ 500-$1000 so I could kill the credit one and get in with the cu and was denied for limited credit experience.  Refi was great, 2.49 vs 3.79 @ nfcu but not letting someone have a $ 500 starter card when they snapped up a $25K amex a week ago seems a big odd but whatever

No chase pre-quals and I am not sure I want to wait for them.  she has pre-quals for everything with amex, even the everyday she just got.  Crazy.  very tempted to just get here another amex at some point to make up the 3rd card.  should I wait for the $25K amex to report to give a better shot at the csp or not?  or not csp until there is a portal or branch pre-approval?  If she miraculously gets the penfed and it reports quick along with the missing chase AU and her amex reports she is up against an 5/24.

Sorry if this is all incoherent, just waking up lol.  Opinions welcome / Thank you

I'd let it report because it's a good "prybar" for a larger limit with Chase.

Chase hates to be your first large limit.  Seeing another card may be helpful but as far as I know, Chase actually looks at cards that are a year old or so, so it may not matter...

thank you for the quick response + this was pretty much what I was thinking, that some depth even short might be leverage on some level.  5/24 is a pain lol

I don't think AUs help a lot with Chase applications. They value account age and not having a lot of new accounts. When the time comes, I think your friend will be well positioned for a CSP. But I'd let her AoOA (age of oldest account) reach one year and precede the app with some gardening time.

she is past a year, close to 2.  she has nothing to garden with, hence my wanting 3 new cards and to drop the credit one.  the question is wait for the amex to report or not for a chase app

edit, the value with the AUs is they added 40+ points to her score

It's hard to know if they'd get denied for no history.  Especially with a prime card like Sapphire.  Chase is a quirky relationship bank with obvious jealousy issues (or at least anti-churning issues).

Do they have ANY Chase relationship?  Maybe just try getting them onto Chase Credit Journey which CAN show preapprovals even if you aren't a Chase customer.

just a chase checking which has been dormant.  a journey after getting a $25K everyday, no way ha-ha.  I like to start at the top.  I would rather get shot down and recon it than get a starter card for her.  looking for cards with some utility as well as building.  she wants to travel, hence the csp.  also going to have her open up chase biz checking and try for an ink later on.

A dormant Chase checking should still let her log in and see her "your offers" section for green checkmarks!

Lol "Chase Credit Journey" isn't a credit card.

By my count she would be over 5/24 if the Amex reports. You said you added her to 3 AU accounts and she has a Credit One, that's 4 new accounts, plus her new Amex would make 5. With her limited history, I don't think she gets approved either way.
