It offers some benefits such as free shipping and at times 30% off, but unsure if they send targeted deals to its card holders frequently or worth the new account and hard pull. Hmm. For those who have the card, was it worth it to you? thanks!
The card is worth it, although I was in a targeted market that offered 10% per purchase towards rewards and they discontinued that recently. I generally only shop sales or clearance right now since my kids are very young.
With three growing kids, this card is a no-brainer for me and I love it. Between kohl's cash, stackable discounts, and yes, targeted cardholder offers, you can save a pile. It's rare that my transaction savings don't equal at least twice my purchase cost when I go there.
case in point for example, getting a dress for my daughter for a dance at school - tag price $69.95, and out the door including tax, after kohl's cash, a fixed-dollar-off markdown in my kohl's wallet, the dress being on a sale, and an additional discount for cardholders, we were out the door under $15. This is a very common outcome.
I wouldn't hesitate to take the HP for it and it's one of the last cards I'd surrender or close.
@Anonymous, what's your card profile like? People try to grab retail cards early in a build or rebuild, then they end up with unusable limits. Kohl's cards are poster children of low limits, and they're tough cards to CLI. It's best to apply when your profile is looking good.
