Hi all,
I keep reading where people request cli's online with us bank and it is a sp. Everytime I try and do it, I get an alert they tried pulling an HP (TU frozen).
Is there a special site people are using?
I didn't do anything special, I just logged in online and drilled down to request a credit limit increase. No HP.
I think if you're account is eligible for a SP CLI it will auto approve, if not, it will HP
I dont know about CLI. I have couple of secured cards with them, For my secured cards each time I requested a CLI and sent them security funds they pulled hard on my EX. Last month I have requested to unsecure my secured card. Also I applied for Altitude GO. For both apps they tried to pull my report and I froze all 3 and they could not pull. They sent me a letter asking me to unfreeze the reports. The letter for unsecure they tried to pull TU. For new App they asked me to unfreeze all 3 since they do not know which report it pulls as their system is automated and do not know which report they pull. YMMV.
When I fill out the form to request a CLI, before hitting the button to submit the request, I see this:
"By submitting a credit limit increase request, you authorize us to obtain a copy of your credit bureau report which may affect your score."
Does that mean they definitely will do a HP, or just that it's possible? If the latter, is it more common or less common? Thanks!

No, HP language is always there, end result can be SP or HP.
I don't know how common it is, for me as long as I waited 7 months (exclude the month you asked for CLI if you've previously gotten one when "counting" six months), I've seen mixed results in approvals and applications.
If your Go is new, same "rule" would apply, count six months without the month you were approved in to increase your chance of SP increase.
Lock all three and ask
(Before anyone has a tantrum, selective CRA talk isn't allowed, but with all three locked, it's dealer's choice).
Every single time they have pulled my TU... I have 2 cc with USB and when I applied for the 2nd one resulting a HP on EQ I did try also to CL increase the other one to see if the system would combine credit pulls and surprise "Notification of USB tried to pull TU". nah
p.d: I was approved for a Altitude Reserve having already a Cash+ for around 2 years a that time.


US Bank does not combine HPs or limits. If you apply for three products, it will result in three HPs, even if done seconds apart.

Question for anyone about bolded section
If one doesn't care if it's a SP or HP for an increase what is the timeline for a new account to ask for an increase with Socks Bank? Wanting to ask one for DW's Altitude Reserve card but I honestly have no clue what rules, if any, are there for when you can ask and can't find a definitive answer
You can ask a day after approval, there is no timeline when HPs are involved.
