And I just got approved for the Amex Premier Rewards Gold. And it says member since 1993! I had defaulted and had closed account many years ago. I can't believe I got this.
I cannot begin to thank everyone that responded to me and all over this forum for the wonderful advice that is so generously offered. I only hope that I can continue to improve myself and begin to help others along the way when I feel I have learned enough.
I truly feel like a real adult now that banks are taking me seriously again. It took a very long time.
I don't think I'll be applying for anymore cards for a very long time. I'm going to use these 2 new ones and keep them paid off. So I will now have a paid off loan, current lease, and visa, discover, and amex on my credit reports. Hopefully will build me up to the point I can get another car loan in the not too distant future.
