From my first Amex to my second I waited about two months. I applied for the BCP in mid November and was approved. Than early January I was approved for the Platinum. Two weeks after that I apped and was approved for the PRG. I think it really depends on the situation. Since this is a week apart I'm assuming it would be a second HP.
