2 approvals 1 pull?

Hello there.
Im living close to a United hub and have a few trips and decided to apply for a Chase/United Quest card directly from chase website and got approved for 12k CL with 60k miles and goodies, then while searching for my flight (2 minutes after approval) i saw a ad on the united website "pre-approved for 80k points+ some other goodies" so im went like hmm lets do it and applied again and got a seconf UQ for 10k CL but im my report so far only 1 hard pull has shown.

Should i be expecting another hardpull or is this normal?

Congrats on pulling off the 2 appovals.

It's possible you have slipped through the cracks, even though Chase does not intentionally reuse a hard pull, either with Chase not making a 2nd pull or Experian initially not correctly attributing it to you. Cross your fingers and hope that a 2nd one doesn't appears on your report in within 1-2 days.

You also managed to slip through cracks by virtue of being approved for 2 Chase cards on the same calendar day which is not Chase' normal business practice. That's something that Chase typically manages to quickly identify and based on multiple reported previous outcomes don't be surprised if that 2nd card does get closed at some point within the next several weeks.

Yes, that's normal not to have two pulls, the bank has no reason to pay for another pull when nothing would have changed. However, Chase may not like that the system approved two cards, so you may not be able to keep both.
