2nd Disco approval with a twist **UPDATE** and local CU approvals

Okay, taking into account the pademic times we are in now, i thought i needed a card with 0% apr if things go south and i finally went ahead with the disco pre approvals i have been seeing 2 months and was approved for $7000 instantly and also got a cli on the first card to bring it to $7000 last month. One week later the new card arrived along with an email from Ms Disco requesting 4506-T BOOM!!!!. I went ahead and signed it since we file taxes jointly and the salary i usually put is 60% of our combined salary. So if they look at combined salary i will be ok otherwise i am gonna loose $14k in CL.

Since i recently joined DuPage Credit Union (local to Illinois) and thought i would eventually apply for their credit products after 6 months of building some relation. But since disco is about to kick me, i went ahead an applied for CU's Visa Signature Inspire card (https://www.dupagecu.com/credit-cards/inspire-cash-back/) and they said they would use the same pull (EX 689) that they did for membership within 30 days. After some verification of paystubs and address proof, i was approved for $5000 SL (asked for 8K). It has an impressive cash back structure if anyone local to illinois is interested.

While I was searching for another card i remembered that Baxter Credit Union is also Illinois based so joined them and it was instant (TU SP). Got the member number, registered for an account in few minutes and then went straight ahead and applied their cash back card and requested $9000 and BAM!!, was instantly approved with a follow up email for some address proof and pay stubs. After 48 hrs got another email congratulating me and card is shipped. (CC was a TU HP which was at 733)

There you go 14K CL replaced while Ms Disco is still reviewing my income. Even if disco kicks me out i should be fine now.

All this could not be achieved without the info i have gathered and learned from this forum since i joined. Really grateful to all you guys and hope you all are staying safe and healthy during this unfortunate times.

For folks who dont like a long read

Here is the gist of it

Discover $7000 approved but got hit with 4506T (still in review) EX 691

DuPage Cash back inspire Visa Signature $5000 EX 689

BCU Cash Back card $9000 TU 733

**UPDATE** discover completed review and was able to login to my account today. Still yet to receive a mail or email from them. I am not sure i will even get any.

CongratsSmiley Happy  sorry about the 4506t. Question, did you change your income from what you were using  for your first card? And was it a very high income you were reporting? Thanks

My income was 40K in 2018 but combined was 122k. For the new app i have put my current income 72K. But they have asked for 2018 tax return (the one with 122K combined). So i am not sure if they will compare the 72K vs 122K    or    72K vs 40K.

we have been filing the taxes jointly since 3 years
