My 1st Navy Federal card, the Platinum, is at $24,000 CL and have had that card since last summer.
I opened my 2nd Navy Federal card, the Cash Rewards, in December 2016. Instant approval on both cards initially.
6k SL on 2nd card, with recent 3k BT placed on that particular card.
I just hit 3 statements on the card on March 11, and decided to give CLI a try this afternoon.
I didn't want 2 cards with the exact same credit limit, and I like nice even numbers, so I requested 22k total limit on Cash Rewards.
After 2 seconds it came back approved! Very excited!
Chances are looking good for a SP due to the instant approval.

Hi AverageJoes, thank you! Definitely easier for me to identify each card easily with 2 different CL's. Plus, I will never have either card that high in usage, so 22k is plenty to allow a buffer.

Humu, that is a nice limit on the second card and a good strategy after the BT.
