6 Approvals within 3 months

Let me explain my story,

Started off with a Discover Cashback last September, with an intial $800 limit, two increases over the year and now it is up to 1150. Received a preapproval from Capital One Platinum back In September. Applied, instantly approved for a 2k limit. Beginning of October decided to give AMEX BlueCash Everyday a shot, instantly approved for 2k limit. Week later applied for the Chase Freedom, instantly approved for $500 limit, wasnt to happy with that but better than nothing. End of October I applied for the AMEX True Earning Costco card, received an invite in the mail from Costco. Instantly approved for a 15k LIMIT!! Had the automated line repeat it 3 times, to be sure I heard it right lol.

After that, I had orginally planned on gardening for a very long time, but the Chase Sapphire Perferred Card kept eyeing me. So last night I applied, instantly approved for 5k. Okay now your thinking quit while your ahead, well I I saw the promotion for the IHG Rewards credit card through chase (80k points after 1k spending) applied, and got  "Your application requires further processing and is currently being reviewed. You will be notified in wiriting about the status of your application within 30 days." My first thought was looks like my luck has ran out, but with the usefull info provided by these forums, I called the Chase recon number. After speaking to a nice lady, I asked about the status of my application, followed up with if I needed to verify information. She verfied my street address, previous address, credit cards, and asked why I applied for 2 cards. I said well being approved for the Chase Sapphire Perferred Card, thats a travel card, and I did not have a hotel rewards card. I need the hotel rewards card to go along with the travel card. She understood and said she was putting a request in to being approved. APPROVED!! 5k limit, with the visa sig!! Super excited!!

To sum it up in the past 3 months I've been approved for:

Capital One Platinum: 2k

AMEX BlueCash: 2k

Chase Freedom: 500

AMEX True Earnings: 15k

Chase Sapphire Perferred: 5k

Chase IHG Rewards: 5k

No doubt in my mind I am gardening probably for a few good years, no need to get anymore credit. I did have one question for you guys and girls. Why in the world would chase start me off with a 500 limit with freedom, only to give me another 5k each in their other credits? Any idea on how I can increase the freeom card without a HP?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
