From the garden I gaze lovingly at my crop of plastique: hues of Amex translucent blue, rays of PenFed aquamarine, beams of Discover purple. Sometimes I set them up around my bed before I go to sleep, to watch over me and fill my dreams. Tina Fey and Samuel L. Jackson sing me lullabies. The garden is a place of solace, a place to prune and water, a refuge of youthful renewal, like spring. Positive change happens in the garden; things grow.
