My rebuild began in February 2016. All but one card in my signature was added in 2016. Yes, I got app happy. I've stopped now ![]()
My Target card was bumped to $2,000 ($300 to $800 to $1300 to $2k in 3 month intervals, regardless of usage, balances reported. It's been all over the map for each increase).
Walmart card from $150 to $400
Amazon from $700 to $900
No love on TJ Maxx
This prompted me to hit the luv button on my comenity cards.
Ann Taylor $250 to $500 (then the red box)
VS $350 to $550 to $750 (2x then the red box)
No love on Pier 1 or J.Crew
Congratulations with those.
It's a slow crawl getting up that ladder but every bit helps. You know that.
I remember when the best i could muster was a 750 Victoria Secret card and a few others but Synchrony wouldn't blink.
Don't let that spook ya'.
It's a matter of just working those current cards like you done and doing whatever it takes to LIFT the highest score bureau's all you can then target Lenders who pull that specific CRA and climb, climb, climb.
I know, i been there ![]()

I have a target card & I shop there a lot! But they started me with only $300. My 3rd statement will cut any day now & I'm hoping they'll increase the limit! Congrats on the increases though!

Target seems strange. There are 2 store cards I would consider adding and Target is one-but I read so many people get stuck at $300 or $500 even with good scores and usage-so I have not done it.
Reading this it makes me want to. But I probably won't. Were they CLI based on the button or auto?
Congrats on your Increases. Nice way to start off 2017
Target has no button, it's just watch and wait.

+1 No button for Target. It *seems* that they are just making changes in the last year or so.
I had a Target card for over 2 years in around '08-'09 and it never moved from $200. I paid it off and closed it. I shop at Target at least 2-3 times a week and $200 was an annoyance. You can barely use it without needing to make weekly payments!
Fingers crossed for you!
Thanks CM!
I know I have to be patient and wait it out. I have 1 collection on EQ and none on EX or TU. But I have 2 judgments. One due to fall off this June and one next February. 90% of my inquiries from the rebuild will be gone by April 2018. So I will keep up my good payment history and ride out the next year or so and be in a great place!
When I was about 26 I had scores 750+ across the board. I did not understand or appreciate it enough!!! ![]()
I opened my Target Card 15 months ago with SL $300. Today its stitting @ $3600. All auto CLI and no HP
