AMEX 2 Apps for 1 Inq Success!

Hi Creditphiles,

I decided to apply for my first two AMEX cards last week (11/8) with an attempt of using just 1 inq. To my surprise, they were both approved!

Gold Delta Skymiles (Instant Approval - Just in time for the 50k mile sign up bonus)

SCL - $1000 Going to wait till January to request 3x CLI though

Starwood Preferred Guest (Application under review, approved after activating Gold Delta)

SCL - $5000!!!

Now I just need a good way to manufacture spend $5000 in 3 months

My question is that does AMEX process CLI increases on a per card basis. So if I requested CLI on Gold Delta, can I request CLI for SPG a week later?

Cli 1 per card every 6 months if approved from what i understand. So if you go for one on your delta and are approved you have to wait 6 more months to get another but on card you choose. I would go for the 3x cli on the SPG first in my opinion.

1 CLI per card every 6 months. In other words 1 CLI on 1 of your cards at 61 days and than you will have to wait 6 months for another CLI.
