Hello All Just wanted to say hello after lurking for so long. So today i decided to finally apply for the AMEX Ed card. I received an pre-selected mailer from them (but was still skeptical) and said screw it. Received an instant offer of only 2.5k but im happy just to get my foot in the door. Im very surprised too as i have 2 baddies on my report but thats about it. I currently have a Cap1 Platinum MC (which used to be an Orchard Bank Secured/oldest card), Cap1 QS, and a Chase Freedom. I am a little disappointed with the limit but as long as my foot in through the door. My largest limit to date is my QS @ 3k.....Yes!!!! thats one goal accomplished.
Welcome to the forum and congrats
Thanks! Cant wait to learn the ropes and become well versed in all aspects of credit.

Congratulations!
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
Congrats

Congrats! Now if you can afford spending another $334 a month, go to a private browser and google amex prg 50k. It will go under the same hard inquiry, and since you have the ED you will have a no AF card to keep your MR points on ..... enough points for 2 round trip plane tickets, or some upgrades.... charge card, must be paid in full every month.... you will then be earning 2.4 MR points a dollar at grocery stores, 2 per dollar at gas stations, and 2 per dollar spent at restaurants. If you get denied its only a soft pull.....
So if the average MR point is worth 2 cents....thats 4.8% back on groceries and 4% on gas and dining! Its really not that hard to handle the extra card.
