I've been lurking like crazy looking at all of the great advice given in these forums. Even was told to wait to apply for the BCE. But my last card approval was in August(Venture One and Quicksilver) so I wanted to go ahead and take another HP since it was only two months ago and then chill in the garden. I went on the AMEX site and chatted with a rep. I told her that I heard the BCE had pretty strict standards for approval. She tells me that they consider all types of factors and not just one (of course). I then tell her that I was kinda nervous to apply and she says well you'll never know unless you apply. So I go ahead and apply since this will be the last inquiry for a while and boom! Instantly approved. I'm so excited to join the AMEX family!

Didn't know chat was an option. I app for that card regularly knowing it's a soft if denied. I've had the green since January. Don't know why they won't take me for the cc. I have some collection on EXP, but they're paid.
just got the 10-14. Msg as usual again today.

Taken care of...
OP, congratulations! I got back into AMEX with EX scores at the time of 673. Do you know your CL or APR yet?
I'll do that. Thanks!
CL is a tiny $1,000 but I don't care. I'm in the door now.

It'll grow. Mine started at $1500 and is now at $13500, making it my largest CL.
Thanks DeadEnd!
The chat agent supplied me with a link to apply. Not sure if that meant something. I asked her if I needed to go to amex.com to do it because it offered 15 mo0% and the link she supplied offered only 12 months. She told me to do either one.
Thanks SunriseEarth!
