After working on my credit score the past few months and getting a great APR on my auto loan last week, I've been doing product changes and CLI increases for all of my cards since I already have inquiries from auto loan requests.
I was thinking, why not just try for an AMEX BCE? I wanted one with no annual fees. I only have credit info on my EQ beacon, which is 735. My creditkarma and creditsesame are all 760+. Instantly approved!

Congrats on the approval, welcome to the garden!!![]()
COngratssss!!
I'm curious about whether or not I should close some of my current credit cards. I have to call a few to attempt to get product changes and to get rid of any possible annual fees.
Right now I have the following...
Capital One Platinum(non-rewards) - 2k Limit (need to confirm if annual fee) 15.8% APR
Barclay Card (non-rewards) - 2k Limit (need to confirm annual fee) - 22.9% APR
Bank Of America 3-2-1 Rewards Card - 10k Limit ($59 Annual fee) - 7.24% APR (edit: just got CLI for 10k total)
Credit Union Rewards Card - 10k Limit - 9.25% APR
AMEX BCE - Have not received card/limit
I also have a Macy's card with a $500 limit and a Best Buy card with a 2k limit, and a Blue Nile card with a 2k limit.
Keep them all? Dump the ones with annual fees? Dump the low limit ones?
I just got bought a new car with a 1.9% APR, my credit scores are in the mid-high 700's. Looking to clean up cards and pound away at the prinicpal of my auto loan.
Suggestions/thoughts?
Congrats!

My average AAoA is 4-5 years. My credit report just expired and I'm holding my last one before my 3 months is up and I cancel.
I believe my Cap One card is the oldest card. I have had that for 7-8 years. Think I should dump this?
I'll contact Barclays and see if I can get a PC.
I just PC'd to the 321 card lol. I don't travel at all, and don't foresee myself doing much in the next few years as I'll be focusing on developing my career and my better half is doing the same. It's an interesting thought though, I'll keep that in mind. I plan on using the AMEX exclusively to get the new member bonus $100 for using 1k in 3 months and for the all around bonus cash it provides.
Thanks! Any other suggestions welcome!
