Like many others recently I've been quite intrigued with NASA FCU and the huge CL with possibly only a SP. Indeed, I got the $30k credit line for the Cash Rewards card at 13.9%. And yesterday afternoon my application status was upgraded to Approved - FUNDED, so hopefully everything will work out with that.
But the AMEX BCE approval is actually the one I'm more excited about, maybe just because the NASA thing seems too good to be true, and I probably won't use it too much. The other day I decided to check Card Match for my latest pre-qualified offers, and the AMEX BCE and BCP were new additions. I was delighted, since the AMEX BCE has been the card I've really wanted since I've gotten into credit (the DoubleCash really got on my radar screen, but I'm not pre-qualifed. I think that'll be my next target down the line). I wasn't sure if I wanted to apply for the BCE right now, but with the NASA approval, I figured I'd go for the AMEX now - take the AAoA hit all together, and get in with AMEX.
Anyway, the Card Match offer included a $150 sign-up bonus and a 12.9% APR (which surprised me a bit, not that I plan on carrying a balance too often with AMEX). So this morning, I went for it. Instantly approved for a $6,000 CL, one-upping Discover by $500 for my biggest CL among the major issuers. And of course there's that sweet 3x CLI opportunity.
Anyway, this week has been quite fun - I think perhaps now it's time to garden.
