@chalupaman wrote:Glad I could help and congratulations on your success. The best part is that you can potentially get a 3x CLI on it in two months which I think you should try out then. You can potentially end up with a 9k limit card in a relatively short period of time. Even if you don't get it, they might even give you a counteroffer. It will be really good for your utilization too if you're not gonna use the card as much as your other ones as well as being able to get higher limits on your other cards and whatever cards you decide to apply for in the future. That's kinda what also makes Amex stand out.
Good point! Is the CLI a hard or soft pull?

That thread looks full of useful information. Looks like I have some reading to do!

When you login to the AMEX site, you should be able to scroll down and find various AMEX Offers than you can add to you card. The last one that I redeemed was an offer for $15 statement credit when you spent $50 or more at Buca di Beppo. It took a few days to apply, but it was a great offer, so I treated my SO and I to dinner there! Keep checking in there and add any offer than you think may come in handy. They update on a fairly frequent basis
You may also consider AMEX for purchases where an extended warranty is desired, as they have a good warranty policy.
I saw the offers and I see some which could be helpful. Why does it take so long to apply for these offers? I'll have to look in to their warranty policy, thank you for the suggestion!

Don't knock the free 50 (even though I'm a prime member, I preferred the 100 cash back). If you like some streaming movies or free ebooks, prime can be used for that (I have rokus, and now prime is streaming on my TiVos, get one free ebook a month, plus prime lending library, which I don't really use that much).
Can save on the cable bill when you want to lower your package. Just a thought.
I'm not knocking per se. I just feel as if they should offer $50 or even $75 instead of a Amazon Prime membership. Do you know if this is allowed?
Congrats! I just got a statement credit from them today for the bonus spending! I love my BCP! =)
