!Thank you for that! Making this card work will require a bit of focus. BTW, do you understand the $200 dining credit as part of the sub? I don't quite understand the minimum spend -or maybe there isn't one(?)

Yes, AmEx 's algorithms have been known to carve out a portion of any existing exposure if you have not used a significant amount of any available credit lines for an undetermined period.
You can reallocate them accordingly depending on how you expect to use them.
Yes, I see that! I should have anticipated this going in, but it never entered my mind. Not a big deal, I may modify the allocation but in truth I should be OK.
Thaks for the info!

Congrats on a very nice approval on your AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant, @MachoHombre! ![]()
Personally, I think this may be one of the best cards that AMEX offers, depending on your loyalty to Marriott. It packs a TON of value for the high AF and the credits are so easy.
Sorry that they reallocated your limits but I understand that it's easy to move them around later yourself. I've had the same thing happen on BofA CLI requests and Chase reallocated limits on my last card approval with them.

Thank you @Aim_High , ..and I agree on a solid AMEX offering. I worked hard to justify *not* bringing this card into the stable, but the math is real. And for *me* a much better choice than Chase's Bonvoy offerings. It also makes waaay more sense for *me^ than the AMEX Platinum.
Ya, mild bummer on the re-allocation. in the weeks ahead I'll likey move the CL's around. Probably put 70%ish to the new card and 30%ish on the BCP.
(sidenote .. if I was focused and smart: AMEX Gold, BofA Prem Rewards and AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant ...these three alone would be brilliant trio for my spend and keep things much more simple. But, we both know I'm not that focused or smart so I doubt I'll be sending back cards. LOL)
