Income might inhibit getting the full $27K, however.   If you're making over $68K a year, I don't really see the full $27K being an issue.   But you may as well ask for the full amount whatever the circumstance, since the system will counter.  


Now, What if part of your stated income is a Spouse's income?

 

I tend to list down my own income + Half the Wife's income.

I, too, started with $9K limit and on the 62nd day, I asked for $27K and they countered with $25.2. Ask for what you want. What's the fear in that? The worse they can say is give you another option.
