Amex is funny... Last CLI was 214 days ago (shame on me for not setting a calendar event 30 days ago) so I went ahead and requested an increase from $29,100 to $35,000. They immediately came back and said they couldn't approve it... but they WOULD approve an increase to $34,400. Huh, strange.

I accepted--- I am just a little bit peeved that my credit line isn't a nice, round number. Maybe in 6 months!

I know the number might be a kinda funny but just be happy that you got something like you said maybe in 6 months you might be over 40K

That is odd. Maybe its a pre-determined approval limit based on your history and score. I agree, it will go up in future. I'd be peeved also like what you cant trust me for an additional 600? At least the bright side is that you go that increase so all is well.
