Re: AMEX CLI > 25k

To Phonic (I forgot to hit the quote button)

I only run about $1000/mo thru the card.  I did carry a decent sized balance on the card for about 10 months of the 0% intro when opening the card.  The high CSP limit came from having my Chase card since 2001.  It used to be a Chase Freedom that I worked up to 32k.  I then opened a CSP which was approved for 6k.   Months later after opening the CSP, I combined the two cards together for the 38k limit.

Yeah I'm thinking they may ask for 4506-T if I ask for another CLI in 6 months now that I am over 25k.

Oh I'm sure you can.  Work that Navy Federal card up to 25k.  They should not HP you for that (I think)   Your AMEX card should be able to go to 25k as well when you are elgible for your next CLI with them.   Your Discover card will more than likely be your lowest limit card after you work some CLIs on the others.

Good advice. I haven't pushed the luv button for NFCU yet. I'm waiting for the year anniversary for the card to go by and then I'll ask for the 25k. I received an 1k increase already but I know with my baddies, I have to let them a little more.

AMEX BCE (30K), DISCOVER IT (29.5K), NFCU CASH REWARDS (25K), BOA TRAVEL REWARDS (15K), USAA VISA (13K), CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE (13K), COMMENCE MASTERCARD (7.5K), CHASE FREEDOM (7K), CHASE FREEDOM (7K), TFCU CC (2.5K), TARGET REDCARD (900)

Re: AMEX CLI > 25k

Congrats!!

Question: is this your only Amex card??

I'd really like to get up to 40-50K with Amex. I currently have $36K and have not experienced a FR yet either or any type of tax req info, although I'd be likely to oblige to keep my coveted Amexes LOL

Re: AMEX CLI > 25k

Yes it is my only Amex.   Opened in December of 2012 with a starting limit of $20,900.  61day CLI to $22,300, then 180 day CLI to $24,300, then now to $29,300.

Re: AMEX CLI > 25k

Nice, congrats!

I'm at $15k and am not sure what to ask for my next CLI.

Interestingly enough, I was reading another credit board and it seems some think the number is $35k and not $25k.  I suppose there's an individual point for everyone but I thought this was quite interesting especially since there seems to be such a small amount of people, that we read about, that get asked for tax documents over $25k.  Seems to me there are more instant approvals than not when it comes to the "over 25k" mysterious limit.  Who knows!  Smiley Happy
