I don't know how true that is. A great deal of the posts about this are just people repeating what they've read on other threads rather than experiencing it themselves. It's certainly not unheard of for requests above $25K to result in a request for income verification, but I don't know that I've seen enough to indicate that it is the norm. My CL is above $25K from an auto CLI, which did not require income verification (but I recognize the distinction between a requested CLI and an auto increase).
