AMEX Charles Schwab Platinum Approval!

DW and I just recently closed on our home and decided it was time to apply for a few new cards to fit my spending patterns. I recently posted about the AMEX Green approval which was great for hotels & uber/lyft rides, but was missing out on maximum points on airfare. I decided to apply for the Schwab Platinum for 2 reasons, 1. The 5x points on airfare as I fly every other week for work. 2. Transferring MR points to an investment account for cash value.

We typically travel to Florida for beach vacations and since we just moved there, I decided that the $'s would be more valuable to me now than transferring to airline partners. So now I have Plat, Gold & Green to maximize my MR points!

I should have no problem washing the AF on all of the cards with the perks, so I felt it was a good plan while traveling for work.

60K SUB after $5K in spend

683 EX at time of app

3 Inq at time of app (2 were mortgage pulls)

Wasnt an instant approval as I had to call & verify my address.

Opened the AMEX Green 1 week prior.

Had AMEX Gold for just over 1 year.

1 Prior CO with AMEX PIF May of 2019.
