AMEX Delta Gold Approved

Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster.

Last week while checking the AMEX site saw the pre-approved for the Delta Gold, Platinum, and Reserve cards... went with the Gold as it fits my present travel habits and had a mere 35k miles SUB for 1k spend over 3 mo.  Was approved with EX of 651.  I have a few baddies as well, some old medical approaching 7 years ago, some from a 2-3 years back.  I did get the dreaded 1k SL on the card.  Any advice everyone can offer me would be great, and if there are any further DP needed feel free to ask.

I am yet to have any personal experiences to share concerning Amex... You are in the door and that counts for alot.

Hahahaha I wish i had heated seats at my desk, but not in this shop.  Too much dirt and dust accumulate in here.

DW had a similar $1K approval years ago with about the same 650s score....

My advice is to be really patient with it as you build a stronger profile and establish a spending and payment pattern with them. You most likely won't see any CLIs for over a year or so as well.

About 2 years after and with her scores shooting in the mid to high 700s, DW started getting CLIs with Amex!

And now with her scores in the 800s Amex has pretty much given her a key to their kingdom!
