I’ve been eyeing the Amex Gold Card for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. Initially, I was approved for the 60,000 bonus points after $6,000 spend in 6 months, which I thought was decent. Then, I checked my mail and found an offer for 75,000 points after $6,000 spend. Naturally, I got excited and thought, "Maybe I can get that higher offer."
But wait—it gets even better. I did some Googling and found that some people were getting a 90,000-point offerthrough referral links! So, I called Amex, explained the situation, and politely asked if they could match the higher offer.
Unfortunately, Amex said, "Nope, the terms of your application cannot be changed." Frustrated but determined, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I canceled the 60k offer, used an incognito browser, and Googled "Amex Gold 90k offer." After clicking around a bit, I found the elusive 90,000 bonus point link. I applied, was instantly approved, and locked in the better deal. 💪
Hopefully, this helps anyone else hunting for the best deal. Good luck, and let me know if you’ve had similar experiences with Amex or other cards!
Nicely done!

Tips for Getting the 90,000-Point Amex Gold Offer:
- Search Smart: Use an incognito/private browser and Google "Amex Gold 90k offer." Keep clicking links until you find one with the higher offer.
- Don’t Settle: If you’ve already applied but find a better offer later, call Amex. If they won’t match it, consider canceling your application and reapplying (be sure this fits your situation).
- Act Quickly: These offers can change or disappear at any time. If you find the 90k link, don’t hesitate.
Takeaways:
- Amex seems to reserve its best offers for specific links or referrals rather than existing members calling in.
- If you’re already an Amex cardholder, doing some extra digging can really pay off.
Hopefully, this helps anyone else hunting for the best deal. Good luck, and let me know if you’ve had similar experiences with Amex or other cards!
