I closed my Gold this year because I could not make use of the dining credits in rural northern Arizona. The only domestic carrier I fly coach on is Southwest and they don't charge for first bag so the airline credit was not helpful for me. I couldn't break even let alone get positive value. I got the Everyday in anticipation of closing it.
I saw the 45k/2k spend offer today on the Green and went for it. I'll definitely use Clear to help offset that annual fee and I really like that the Green actually covers more travel categories than planes and hotels (much like the Citi Premier). I think I have a great mix of Amex cards now as long as they don't change anything else.

Congrats! If i ever move away from Chase UR points, i plan to get the Green. It's become a real competitor imo. Especially for people traveling and paired with the Platinum.
