I checked the prequalified offers page this morning on Amex's website and saw the SPG was on there. So I clicked on the Apply Now button and instead of the usual "Applying to expand your membership with us" text I got the "You're preapproved". So I pulled the trigger on the app and got a "We need more time to process" which is normal since I have an extended fraud alert on my profile. I called them up and after verification got approved with a $1000 SL. Not the greatest but my other cards I have with them are a BCE at $500CL that I got the "credit steps" email for and an SPG that I have been charging and paying $1000 a month on. They are I think finally starting to open the gates just a smidge haha.
Also got the Sign Up Bonus of 75k points for $3k spend in 3 months. Marriott is my preferred hotel chain and I have been wanting this card for a while since I can't get the chase one(Burned them for 3.5k 6 years ago and they cancelled the debt so it didn't have to be repaid).
Congrats on the approval! The rebuilding is never easy but the little doors that open can lead to better things! You're doing great!

Also in case anyone is wondering or needs more datapoints on the whole SP new card thing. I'm fairly confident now that if you have an extended fraud alert on your credit report you will get a HP for every application with AMEX. I have applied and gotten 3 cards since may with them and I got a HP with each and every one.
